This stunning collectors 2 piece ensemble comprises a dress and sash/shawl/headpiece/pussybow however you want to wear it! Though this is a dropped waist, fit and flare mermaid look that cascades to free flutter godet handkerchief pleats, it's tailored on the interior lining as a slim and true column dress. This predates his space-age designs, soon to follow and the asymmetrical, high-low, midi-to-tea length hem shows us glimmers of his next series, like the famed "Car Wash" and geometric designs of his futurist lines. I'm quite sure this is created from a structural silk gazar. This is a rare and important piece of fashion history and it's priced accordingly. This vividly printed tropical floral silk chiffon blue multicolor dress comes with a matching cape/scarf/belt. Print is a blue, turquoise and yellow painterly inspired floral. Dress has a round neck, fitted waist and slightly flared skirt. Sheer cape/scarf can be gathered around the neck/shoulders/head or used as a belt around the waste. The sleeves have a beautiful bell-sleeve effect; adding a signature Cardin touch. A beautiful piece of wearable fashion history. The clothing I prefer are those I invent for a life that doesn't yet exist- the world of tomorrow! The dress is fully lined in silk with a zippered back.
